While we can't really complain since the east coast is getting absolutely pummelled, I am actually getting quite tired of all this snow. It just seems to be extraordinarily poorly timed this year. Always the snow seems to attack us during rush hour.
So this morning I woke up at six and decided that I would just pick up breakfast at caribou coffee. I do love me some oatmeal! At any rate the roads weren't that bad, even if people were driving like they were horrible.
Tonight, I look forward to skating at the rollergarden. Still need to order skates and such. I think life will be better once I am off the rental skates.
Okay off to work. Have a splenda day!

Well, now that I've made some major (and positive, might I add) changes to my life, I'm ready for another challenge. And I'm thinking that it's going to be the roller derby. There is a men's league here in MN, and I have two friends who are already a part of it.
I had my first skate in over 15 years earlier this week, and had a great time. I think this will be a very good outlet for me, and a chance to expand my circle of influence/friends. So hopefully it goes well!
*having a job (two in fact)
*family (even when they are closed minded about global warming)
*a gophers basketball win
*well made food that I can eat at Thanksgiving
*not having to list what I'm thankful for while sitting at the table with the family
*a plethora of great friends, new and old
*the feelings a certain, handsome gentleman has started to inspire
*a comfortable bed that is now calling my name.
It's been an adventurous past few months, what with softball come and gone, a trip down to my parent's place in Chicago and renewed interest in the gym. But, probably the big news for me lately is that I have decided to be vegan.
For years now, I've felt like the same athletic kid I used to be. I just didn't have the body to match it. So with going to the gym for ten months now, it's time to continue to follow a healthy lifestyle in the kitchen too. I have established a few allowances/rules for myself in this. I'm being lenient in bread, because vegan bread is hard to find. I'm also going to be vegetarian outside of the house. This should make it easier to eat at other people's places.
I'm trying to tell as many people as I can. So far I've already found a few people in my circle of friends already who are vegan, and have been helpful in finding products, recipes and such. So any support that you guys can spare would be appreciated.

This video made me extremely happy, and proud.
I laid around for about two hours, and then started in cleaning my bathroom hardcore. I mean, break out the toothbrush cleaning. I decided to do that to the kitchen too. Ended up deciding to rearrange my living room in the middle of that. Which turned into the wires in my stereo not being long enough.
I'm happy with the new layout of my place. I don't know if it's just because it's new, but my place feels bigger than it used to. It's still messy because I didn't spring clean like planned. But still a productive day.
One that has been paying off lately is Brothers and Sisters. I have to say that I think it is one well written, well acted show. I know it is a little soap opera-y, but it keeps me coming back. Week after week after week. Tonight's episode was really great, and the seen near the end with Ron Rifkin and Sally Field was spectacular. It was very real, and it's so gratifying to see some actors just really let go.
On a different note, America's Next Top Model is also on the DVR, and I haven't watched it yet.
